From Dr. Susan’s Kitchen: Blueberry Coconut Smoothie

I love the wonderful taste of blueberries as well as their incredible nutritional benefits!

Blueberries are great sources of beneficial antioxidants that prevent wear and tear on your cells and help to regulate your blood sugar levels.

Research studies have also found that blueberries also improve your memory and enhance your cognitive abilities, thereby slowing down the effects of aging and stress on the brain.

Blueberry Coconut Smoothie
Serves 2

1 cup coconut water
⅔ cup blueberries – fresh or frozen
1 heaping tablespoon raw coconut flour
1 heaping tablespoon raw almonds (10-15)
1 banana, sliced
Ice (optional)

Combine all ingredients in a blender. Puree until smooth and serve.
