Dr. Susan’s Daily Health Tip: Almond Mask for Skin Health

Would you like fresher looking, glowing skin, even if your skin is more sensitive or showing the effects of skin aging? You can make a simple skin mask at home with just a blender and whole oats and raw almonds.

Combine 1/2 cup each of whole oats and raw almonds in a blender and mix together until very finely ground.

Use as much of the finely ground mixture as you would like for each skin application and store the remainder in the refrigerator.

Combine with enough water to make a paste. You can also combine it with chamomile tea which helps to soften fine lines. You can use this mixture as a facial mask or massage it into the skin of your arms or legs.

As with any mask, I always recommend patch testing it first on a small area of skin to make sure that you tolerate it well since some women have skin that is more reactive. Love, Dr. Susan
