I love green smoothies, they always make me feel so healthy inside and out. This smoothie is not only delicious it also contains many healthy fruits, vegetables, greens and nutrients.
The spinach, avocado and celery are a great combination of healthy green veggies, providing a wide array of essential vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and other phytonutrients!
The avocado also provides monounsaturated oils for heart and skin health.

1/4 cup spinach
1 stalk celery, sliced
1/2 green apple, cored and sliced
1/2 cup butternut squash, chopped
1 orange, peeled and sliced
1 1/2 cups of nondairy milk
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon or nutmeg (optional)
juice from 1 lemon
2-3 ice cubes
Combine all the ingredients in a blender or food processor and run it on high speed for 60 to 90 seconds or until the drink is completely liquefied. Add a splash of orange juice or more lemon if you want a little extra flavor. You can substitute spinach for the chard.
